If you have ever set up a trade show booth before than you already know how much work goes into making your booth look just right. In all that there is to do – obtaining the right banner display, setting up shelves and tables to showcase your products, setting up either a TV or computer to enable customers to get a better idea of what you have to offer – it is quite likely that something as small as a plastic card holder will slip your mind. However, having a plastic business card holder is something that will help to enhance your booth. It should be sitting on a prominent place at your display table so that people walking by and checking out your booth can easily take one. The more people that take your business card, the higher the chances are that people will call your company when they need what you have to offer. It is a whole lot more efficient than simply waiting for people to ask you for your business card as often people are just walking by and looking around and will not stop to talk to you at the time.

It is easy enough to get cheap plastic business card holders. If you have a couple display tables at opposite sides of the trade show booth then ideally you should have a plastic card holder on each table. Plastic card holders are the cheapest of all the business card holders; you can purchase one for a little over a dollar. While they are not as aesthetic as acrylic business card holders or some metallic card holders, these will serve the purpose of people being able to easily get your business card.

If you want something that is a bit more eye catching then a good idea is to purchase a combined magazine and business card holder. This will allow you a place to put your brochures as well as your business card. While it will cost you a little more than a simple card holder this set up is likely to draw more attention to your business cards as well as to your promotional brochures, which will also need some kind of display case anyway. It encourages people to take both your brochure as well as your business card which will enable them to better remember what your company has to offer and what the prices are. Having a set up like this is well worth the cost.

Another thing you may want to consider is a tiered business card holder. This card holder, as the name implies, has tiers where different business cards can be placed. This comes in handy if you have different outlets for your product and you want people to be able to remember which ones they are.

Another thing that can be easy to overlook in your trade show booth set up is ID card holders. Those coming to your booth should be able to see at a glance the name of the person they are talking with. This is professional looking and while it may seem to be a small thing, it is often the small things that can make or break a trade show booth or even a business. Getting clear plastic ID card holders for those who are manning your booth is important and the cost is minimal. For just a dollar or two you have made your employees manning the booth look more professional and made your business look more professional as well.

These items are easy enough to pick up at a shop or even online. There are a number of online retailers that sell items small and large for trade show booths. Looking through one or more online catalogues will give you an idea of what is out there and what style or design is best for your booth. Many online retailers also ship some items free of charge; it is worth looking into if you are buying these items online, as then you do not have to worry about shipping costs. Many places will also offer special card holders, or combined brochure/business card holders that are made for outdoor trade show booths. If your booth or exhibition is going to be outside it is worth your while to look into getting items that are made specifically for outdoor booths, as then you will not have to worry about inclement weather damaging your set up.

In all of this it is also important to obtain all the items you need for your trade show booth well in advance. As was mentioned above, there is a whole lot of work that goes into a successful trade show booth and you will want plenty of time so that you do not forget the smaller items that will enhance your company’s image.
