Choosing the Right Outdoor Banner Stands

Posted by on Sunday, 9 May, 2010

If the trade show or exhibition you are attending is outside then it is very important that the equipment you have for it is suitable for an outside stand. There are special outdoor banner stands and outdoor displays that are made to withstand wind and outdoor conditions.

It is important to remember when you set up a booth that many people will be forming their first impressions of your company by looking at your booth. If your booth is professional looking and your display is attractive and appealing, it will give people a positive impression of your company. If your booth set up is not suited for the outdoors or your booth is in any way shoddy or looks tacky and cheap, then it will defeat the purpose of having a booth in the first place, or be counterproductive.

The first thing to know before choosing outdoor banner stands is what size they should be. In addition, to know that, you will need to plan how you will arrange your booth. In fact, it pays to do this as soon as you possibly can, because sometimes there can be unexpected delays in getting your order and you will need to be sure to have these in time for the trade show. Make sure to measure the booth carefully and decide where you will put the table and shelves, if you have any, how many banners and displays you need and what size they should be. Make sure they are not too large or too small; also make sure that if you have a TV or computer as part of your display that it does not get blocked.

There are a variety of banner stands, some smaller and some taller and the prices vary, depending on what material the stand is made out of, brand name, and size. The taller it is, the more it will cost. As was mentioned above, many people will be forming their first impression of your company based on your stand and so it is important to have a high quality set up, even if you have to invest a bit more money. Do not go for the cheapest buy, but you also do not have to go for the most expensive. Usually somewhere in between is good as that gives you good quality at a decent price.

It is also possible to rent the items you need for your outdoor booth and the main advantage to renting as opposed to buying is that it will cost you less, at least in the short term. If you set up a number of trade show booths over a period of time, however, it can be helpful to have your own equipment as then you do not have to worry about renting the items you need each time. It is a worthwhile investment to buy your own banner stands. It is also quite easy to store banner stands and trade displays, especially if they are pop up displays or banners. However, if you are limited with your budget, it can be better to rent something that is good quality instead of buying something that is tacky looking or poor quality.

You can buy any outdoor trade show equipment you need from companies that sell them. They will often have a selection there, or a catalogue that you can look through. If you are not quite sure what you want your banner stands to look like, then it pays to take some time to study a few catalogues, or look through online catalogues, so you can get an idea of the different kinds there are and what kind would look good with your booth. Different kinds look good with different booths, depending on what your company colors are and what the style of booth is meant to be. In addition, check to see what kind of warranty is offered. Some may offer long term or even lifetime warranties and since you are most likely investing a lot of money buying the stands, it is a good idea to choose something that will last a long time.

You can also buy the items you need from an online retailer. While you do not get to see your purchase close up and have to rely on a photo of it, if you know what you want then this can be advantageous in that you will be able to compare prices easily and quickly and select the best buy. You may also find it is cheaper to buy what you need online, particularly if the retailer you are buying from ships the items to you for free. However, not all do, or they will only do so in a limited area, so you should factor in the cost of shipping along with your purchase.

•    The font and lettering can be manipulated on a grand scale, not unlike using Microsoft word
•    The variety of special symbols and artistic design is only limited by the human imagination, outdoor banner printing is quite upscale and the technology is state of the art
•    Outdoor advertising banners can made on a grand scale
•    Do not worry about trying to mount a huge banner on the side of your wall inside or outside, installers can accompany the banner

Outdoor banners are unstoppable in terms of showing everyone what you are trying to sell. They are not meant to be private. Outdoor vinyl banners are certainly not shy. If you want to appeal to a large audience, a specially designed banner is a product for you. They can be hung or be fixed. The stupendous aspect of outdoor banners is they never stop working and you do not have to pay them overtime or grant them health benefits. They never go on strike nor do they ever complain. They will continue to work for you as long as they hold up to the elements. And outdoor banner stands are mighty. They are having an effect at all times.

These banners are designed for all sort of locations, they do not discriminate. Their fabric is thick skinned meaning it can take a pounding and the sun’s ultraviolet rays have little effect on it. What happens when dirt and dust block or blemish the outdoor banner display? The banners are not scared of water nor some soap, they can be hosed down to look sparkling in no time at all. Their sewn seams withstand the toughest weather the security ropes are made of nylon that last forever. The outdoor banner stand in particular is fabricated to stand in various types of weather while ensuring your message or business stands to gain from its existence.

Banners designed for the exterior are favored by the Chinese. They are hanging across the face of large buildings, covering shop entrances and even tight securely so they can be hovering above roads while you drive underneath it. The letters are carefully crafted and the fabric is dyed but not in any automated process. Human hands are the best at dyeing the material. The result is a gorgeous advertisement and will bring more people into your store, mall, arena or any other business or entity that wants to entice potential customers.

This type of care in a world where everything around us is mass manufactured is awfully touching. This symbolizes that this business cares about quality, is truly proud of its product and is not bashful about its service.

The banners can be manipulated until they are quite inconspicuous. After they are broken down they can be stored for the next event or season or whatever, they are not massive dust collectors when not in use. One person can break down the banner and walk away.
Banners meant to be hanging out with the elements actually the easiest and sharpest way to advertise. What is more cost-effective than ordering a hand crafted, large display that will last for years and is shining the letters and words that you patiently thought about? Not much, commercials are fleeting, newspaper ads only persist for a day, and online ads are expensive. Why not attract the folks who are already in the presence of your retail establishment?

Exterior banners are the perfect complement to someone who wants everyone to know where they stand. Banners are the perfect anecdote to someone who is tired of staying quiet. If you are proud of your company, why bottle it up? You are crippling your business; this is an expenditure that will sweeten the future. If you are shy, let your banner do the talking, they will proudly do so, with gusto. They are quiet; they never disturb the neighbors or other nearby businesses. Are you considering music to promote your business? Someone can always play better music or it may not be the right taste, more people can relate to a cool banner. Banners are a powerful way to promote your message and it is proven by how many there are.

Versatile and Effective Outdoor Banners

Posted by on Sunday, 14 February, 2010

Outdoor banners are often used in place of more rigid or hard signs, and they are actually a very popular and extremely effective method of advertising. Usually made from PVC Vinyl, they are the perfect solution to outdoor all-weather advertising.  Oftentimes temporary outdoor graphic banners are needed, either to advertise an upcoming event or to advertise a new company or product. They are great to use for promotional purposes as they are instantly noticed from far away, providing they are designed to be easy to read.  These PVC Vinyl banners can be either single or double sided, and even though they are large, they are easy to transport, as they are not very heavy.

An outdoor banner display is usually specially prepared for outdoor use, by first having seams sewn around all four sides of the banner.  Depending on how the banner will be attached to the outdoor banner stand, they may have grommets around the edges, or in some cases, they may have pole pockets on the right and left sides of the banner.

Banners can be tied down with ropes or elastic ties. If either a rope or elastic ties are used, they are knotted through the eyelet and then attached to a support. Using elastic ties is usually preferable to rope, as there is a lot more give in the elastic ties and they will move with the wind more. If they are going to be standing upright, then they can have poles at either the top and bottom or at either side, with the pole part of the mounting bracket, or attached to another part of a building.

Smaller outdoor banners can be displayed on outdoor banner stands. There are quite a few different styles of outdoor stands. One thing they all have in common, however, is a weighted base.  Regular indoor banner stands are far too light to withstand even a gentle outdoor breeze, and they would easily fall over and break, or worse yet fall over on top of someone. The base of an outdoor stand must be made heavy enough to withstand even fairly strong winds.  Of course, it would be very unwieldy and difficult to move around an outdoor stand if it was made with heavy, solid material. Therefore, usually the base of the stand is hollow, and in order to add sufficient weight to it, the base can be filled with water or sand.  When it is time to move the stand, the plug in the base is unscrewed and the water or sand is allowed to drain out. This way, it is relatively easy to move outdoor advertising banners from place to place.

The outdoor banner must be able to withstand all types of weather conditions, but it must also resist fading as well.  Outdoor vinyl banners are also subject to rain and strong sunlight, so they must be made from waterproof material and the print should be UV resistant.  This is why PVC vinyl is usually used for outdoors.  Regular, or standard laminated banners would never hold up to the rugged outdoor weather extremes, the banners themselves would soon become destroyed and any printing on the banner would quickly become illegible.  Usually the outdoor banner printing is also UV resistant, thus it can withstand both rain and sunlight.

A properly prepared outdoor vinyl banner, that is installed properly, should last for up to two years. There are a couple of major factors that could lessen this time considerably. One is wind, and the other is how you store your outdoor flags and banners. When placing your banner, you should always be very careful to place it somewhere that the effects of the wind will not be overly strong. If you are unsure whether or not the place you have chosen would be ideal, it would be a good idea to consult with a professional and ask them for their advice or suggestions. Many businesses have been making and installing these types of outdoor signs for many years, and as such, they are a wealth of information when it comes to knowing how to best place these types of signs.  If you are not going to be leaving your sign up permanently, then you should also learn how to store it properly.  You should always wrap your banner around a hard cardboard core, never just bundle it up and throw it in a cupboard or roll it around and around itself.

Outdoor signs are some of the most effective advertising methods around, which is why they are very popular. They can be placed anywhere outdoors, from the roadsides to outside stadiums or other sporting facilities. If you want a more temporary sign, they can be placed on stands, but for signs that are more permanent, they can be actually attached to walls or buildings, or hoisted up on high poles.
